Our story
Since long before Kijiji or online sites where you might look for pups available for sale, I worked as a volunteer consultant, going through the classified sections of the newspaper helping peole find real and reliable sources to aquire their pet from. Puppy scams have always infuriated me. As I cant think of anything more cruel than taking someone's money and giving them hope that their wanted new fur baby is soon to arrive, only to discover that you have been duped. Out the money and heart broken that your fur baby doesn't even exist.
And while CKC offers registered breeders a platform to host their profiles and contact information it's been asked of me often where a person might find listings of reputable breeders. I have owned registered dogs some even brought in from out of country. I have owned rescues and I have owned mixed and purebreds from breeders not registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, each experience being a positive one. But I knew the right questions to ask and even then it was a scary venture until pups or dogs came into my care.
This site hosts Career breeders, many of which share my same history in owning and breeding registered and non registered pups. A career breeder is someone I classify as a person with alot of knowledge, who cares deeply about their dogs and pups and someone who supports their pups for their entire lifetime no matter the home they go into. Many of them having extensive histories in raising quality pets, who plan their litters deliberately and who facilitate an operation that encourages healthy development of puppies and their beloved dogs alike. Or animals should they breed cats or other domestic animals.
As a career breeder I consider what I do a labour of love and this is something I have in common with every other person you find within this site.

My history
At a very early age I was a lover of all animals but specifically dogs. No matter the breed I find the history of dogs fascinating.
Recently I sat down to name all the dogs and breeds I have had the privilege in raising, training, and knowing just in the last 5 years. The number is over a hundred and fifty dogs and 41 purebred breeds since 2007.
Puppies will come to me from other breeders often by the litter after they are weaned, it's been my great privilege in doing some of their initial training and helping to facilitate adoption. I love it almost as much as raising my own or in taking in expecting dams in need of shelter and raising their litters I cant say that I have a favorite breed. But I can tell you that I have fallen deeper in love with the species with every experience.
I have often said that my dogs are my church. Their interaction, the evolution and the science behind each breeds history and their very existence inspires me, makes me believe I have a purpose and reminds me when I question it, what humanity should look like. Through dogs and mental health issues, I have learned that love is a tangible presence and with a dog at my side or 3 or more at my feet, no matter where I am in life, I feel at home.
I know that many of my friends within the breeding community feel the same and it is because of them I have experienced so many riches as they have entrusted me with getting first hand knowledge with their breed of choice.
Huge thanks to those in the breeding community, who often have the hearts of our canine companions. With them I belong to a unique circle full of kindred spirits.
